Recovering From Google's Exact Match Domain (EMD) Update

So after a lot of reading I have found that the EMD filter is periodic. The EMD filter isn't constantly running. Google will be using the EMD Filter from time to time in order to ensure that what was filtered out before should continue to be filtered. Now it's also going to be catching EMD's that it missed previously.

If you were hit by the EMD update I honestly would rethink your SEO strategy. The advice of recovering seems to be similar to that of Google's Panda update. But if your stuck in the filter already and they are doing there best to keep you in there filter how realistic is that it can recover?

Anyway I still recommend removing low quality content and wait and see what happens. Me personally I am investing more time in my primary site and dropping all EMD's unless they have a good PR in which case I will use them as a backlink source. You will only see a change if any the next time the EMD filter is run.

So when does Google plan to run the EMD Filter. They aren't telling anybody at this point, but I would venture to say within 3-6 months.

Now if you had an exact match domain name and you got hit then you were probably hit the the Exact Match Domain Filter instead of the Panda 20 Update.

Google Cracks Down On Low Quality Exact Match Domains

The head of Google web spam fighting team Matt Cutts announced
on Twitter that Google will be rolling out a “small” algorithm change
that will “reduce low-quality ‘exact-match’ domains” from showing up so
highly in the search results.
Cutts said this will impact 0.6% of English-US queries to a noticeable degree. He added it is “unrelated to Panda/Penguin. Panda is a Google algorithm filter aimed at fighting low quality content; Penguin is one aimed at fighting web spam.
This should come as no surprise, as Cutts said a couple years ago that Google will be looking at why exact domain matches rank well when they shouldn’t, in some cases.
Likely over the coming days, you will see shifts in the search
results where many sites that may rank well based on being an exact
match domain may no longer rank as high in Google’s search results.
Exact match domains mean domains that match exactly for the search
query. For example, if I sold blue widgets and owned the domain name
www.bluewidgets.com, that would be an exact match domain.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean sites with keywords they hope to
rank for in their domain names are now doomed. Rather, the change aims
to target low quality sites that might be riding on on the basis of
exact matching.
For a broader perspective on Google algorithm updates, see The Return of the Google Dance on our sister site, Marketing Land. As for ranking factors overall, be sure to see our Periodic Table Of SEO Ranking Factors.

So most questions are what should I do about my internet marketing strategy now?

So if your internet marketing efforts are focused on making 1 page sales pages, also known as pitch pages this tatic no longer works google will remove it from the search results or sandbox it altogether. I would recommend trying a different approach.
Best SEO Tucson Tips 2012

There is a lot of hype with people saying SEO is dead and SEO is no longer effective not necessarily in Tucson, but around the world at this time due to Google's latest 2 updates. They are known as Google's Penguin update and Google's 2 Panda Refreshes and more.

The answer is SEO isn't dead it's just more complicated and time consuming then it was before.

Meanwhile content is still king, don't over optimize your on-page copy, don't build low quality non relevant links to your site and much more. It's more about quality with link building instead of quantity. Don't focus so much on keywords, but focus on your topic when it comes to internet marketing.

Now if you used to use 3-10 keywords try to focus on tons or for short 50-75 keywords. You have to make sure you throw in different orders for example (Houston plumber, plumber houston), misspellings (plummer in houston), and everything else you can think of that is relevant to that topic. Now a few months ago we could get by focusing on the main money keywords, now it's way to risky to do it.

It's also a good rule of thumb to make sure your keywords are non-topical meaning ( Click here, Learn More, Visit this site, ) etc. Now it's also a good idea that if your on-page seo copy is keyword focused I can't stress this enough deoptimize it as soon as possible.

You probably think I am crazy, but when your rankings start tanking...you will be like I should have followed your suggestions and listened. In some cases it is also a good idea to remove backlinks just depends on your situation.
best practices to increase page views, sales, and your brand.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Michael de Ceault is a professional Internet Marketer, Web Designer and Computer Repair specialist. He has been providing
services to many people whether it’s small to medium size business or the
everyday person that is looking to be found on the internet. He served as a

and much more.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">“Properly done, SEO can enhance
your online store, blog or personal website pages to help the search engines
determine what your site is about,” Michael told a clients of his.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">He explains that best SEO practices
help search engines like Google and Bing and Yahoo to rank your web pages high
in results when searchers type in queries looking for items like yours.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Michael says effective SEO for
increasing your sales is generally concerned with two things.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">“On-page” Factors<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">.
“An example of on-page factors would be if you provide property
management, you want that phrase and similar search terms throughout your
content, like in your page title, URL (if possible), meta description,
body text, heading tags, image names and alt image text,” he said.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">Incoming Links<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt;">.
“Equally important, is getting the links pointing to your site to
contain the popular keyword phrases you want to rank high for. So if you
want to rank high for the search term “property management”, you would
first include the phrase as mentioned above and then set out to get
incoming links where the linking text reads “property management.” You
will want to vary your incoming links and the words and phrases included
in your content so as to appear natural to Google and the other search
engines. Google has sophisticated tools that filter out sites they
determine are attempting to artificially enhance their ranking results. As
long as you get links coming in “naturally”, you can start improving your
rankings by making link-getting part of your daily marketing,” Michael
tells property managers.

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 12pt; line-height: 115%;">He suggests looking to social sites or websites
who are focused on supporting “property managers” for help with enhancing your SEO. He says these are the fundamentals of building a successful website in any
internet niche. He also goes on to say there are many other ranking factors,
but some of the most important were just explained above.Computerz101http://www.blogger.com/profile/12337811482130052212noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8330805349599511980.post-79396089157743054342012-01-19T21:03:00.000-08:002012-01-19T21:27:40.965-08:00Computer Repair Tucson, AZTucson Computer Repair

For your home computer repair in tucson it's a good idea to install and use ccleaner which is a great pc cleaning utility at least once or twice a week to keep your computer free of files, logs, temp files and more that tend to build up everytime you go on the internet, turn your computer on, unisntall software, install software, turn your computer off and much more...

Another great piece of software for computers in order to remove viruses is malwarebytes Anti Malware I would highly recommend that you get the paid version which is only 24.95 for a lifetime license which has been tested to work on up to 2 computers... I have been an SEO person to never create a sitemap or use them period. Then I an itch and it said to create two xml sitemaps for 2 different websites. After uploading them to there website directory that was in correlation with the sitemap I then went into Google WebMaster Tools and added the sitemaps for both websites. Less than 2 days later very highly ranked keywords literally dropped from page 1 with over 30 keywords being on page 1 of google to page 2, 3, 4, 29, etc i assume you get the picture. This was for both websites all the other websites I left alone and they are perfectly fine with never having used or implemented a sitemap so it leads to be believe from first hand experience that it's a bad idea to use an xml sitemap. Now I am sure that hundreds of people can argue back and forth about this and that is ok. I just think personally that I wont be utilizing an XML Sitemap again...this one change and only change has costed me hundreds of dollars losted over the past 3 days of my ranking dropping.

Now I can say that it did index more pages faster even though google would have gotten around to it within 3-7 days instead of 1 or 2, but to preserve my high ranking I am more than willing to wait.

I added the xml sitemap on January 2, 2012 and on January 4, 2012 page 1 many rankings/keywords disappeared by the 5th only dropped further back I have since deleted the sitemaps from the web dirs and removed them from google web master tools.

To find out more you can go check this out..
Tucson Internet MarketingComputerz101http://www.blogger.com/profile/12337811482130052212noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8330805349599511980.post-20260887717254795602012-01-04T16:42:00.000-08:002012-01-04T16:44:53.539-08:00Building Links But Loosing Rank In Google - Why is my website rank dropping?
by PotPieGirl on January 15, 2011

Can You Have Too Many Backlinks? How To Tell

A very common question I get is, “I’m building backlinks like crazy but my rankings are getting WORSE in Google – not better! Why?!?!?!” It is SO frustrating when this happens – especially when you’re new. The “experts” tell you to go build links back to your web page with the phrase you want to rank for as the anchor text – simple, right? Yes, it is simple – to a point. That point is when you ask for help in that situation and folks tell you – “just keep building links and be patient”. That may not be the best advice in all situations – Here’s why…

Another “P” Word for 2011

As I talked about in my previous post, 2011 is the year of “P” words for me (read that post here). “Patience” is one of those words that I plan to incorporate more into my daily business activities and my overall attitude.

When you’re building links and things aren’t working the way you’d like right away, patience is called for. However, sometimes it’s a good idea to be PROACTIVE before deciding our next move…or whether we make a move or not.

When you have a brand new site, it is VERY common for Google to dance it all over the place until it decides what to do with you and you “settle in”. Sometimes, you may fall out of the Google index completely. It happens all the time and it’s nothing to freak out about (and yes, I know it’s hard to NOT freak out…lol!)

But sometimes you might be working yourself into trouble – and keeping on doing what you’re doing can actually make things worse.

About Anchor Text and BackLinks

First, let’s review just a bit before I dig into all this.

When you’re building a web page and you want it to rank well in Google for a phrase like green poodle shoes, then you would build links BACK to your webpage with the phrase green poodle shoes as the anchor text of that link (ie, the clickable words).

So, if I wanted my blog here to rank for green poodle shoes, I would build links TO my blog with that phrase as the clickable words.

For example: To learn more about green poodle shoes, visit PotPieGirl.com.

Got it? (and just for fun, keep an eye on Google and see if I don’t start ranking for green poodle shoes…lol!)

The theory is, the more keyword optimized links like that you have back to your web page, the better your web page will rank in Google. For the most part, that is pretty much how Google works – to an extent.

You can OVER-DO it and start suffering drops in your rankings from having too MANY of those exact keyword links to your web page and NOT having a well-rounded link profile that has all kinds of links (not only that exact phrase for every link back to your page).

For the sake of this article, I’ll call it a Link Profile Penalty.

Are You Suffering From a Link Profile Penalty?

<ins style="display: inline-table; border: medium none; height: 60px; margin: 0pt; padding: 0pt; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 468px;"><ins id="aswift_0_anchor" style="display: block; border: medium none; height: 60px; margin: 0pt; padding: 0pt; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 468px;"></ins></ins>

Ok, so now we get what happens, how do we know if it is, or is not, happening to our web page?

Hang in there with me and let’s see if I can’t explain this…

If you go to Google and do a search called allinanchor (the words all in anchor but typed all-together as one word) and then follow that with a :____insert a keyword phrase____, you are asking Google to tell you how many web pages they know about that are building (or have) backlinks TO their web page with that phrase in it.

Still with me? =)

Here’s an example:

allinanchor:”green poodle shoes”

allinanchor, then a :, then the phrase in quotes – no spaces between anything but each word in the phrase.

When I do that search on Google, I will get results of pages that have that EXACT phrase in the anchor text of links TO their web page.

And surprise, surprise, Google shows no results for that phrase…yet (I imagine they might after they find this post..lol).

Allinanchor is a powerful little tool… you can see how many other web pages are working on ranking for that phrase. If they are building links with that phrase, they must want to rank for it, right? Yup, that’s the theory.

However, you can also get an idea if YOUR web page is having issues with over-optimization of your backlinks.

How To Test for Back Link Over-Optimization

When you do a allinanchor:”your keyword phrase” search on Google, look and see where YOUR page ranks in those results.

If you rank about #3 for allinanchor and then you rank about #3 for a normal, non-quoted search…. things are fine, just be patient.

BUT, if you rank about #3 for allinanchor, but rank #23 for a normal, non-quoted search….there’s most likely a problem. You’re over-doing it and Google is NOT happy with you.

Good News – It’s Usually Easy To Fix!

If your web page is still in the Google index, you’re in good shape. Just STOP doing what you’ve been doing and work on your link PROFILE – not that one specific phrase.

Get some “click here” links or straight url links – basically, work on getting links that are NOT your keyword phrase (or even a long-tail version of your keyword phrase).

In the majority of cases where I’ve had this happen or helped others when it’s happened, things get corrected pretty easily. It’s not a FAST fix, but things do come back together as they should and rankings improve as the link profile improves.

Backlinks are very powerful, but you can over-do it and push yourself DOWN in the rankings. It’s kinda like eating healthy – fruit is GREAT, but if ALL you eat is fruit, there might be a problem (too much of a good thing and not enough well-rounded food choices).

I believe Google wants us to be more well-rounded…and the best way to do well in Google rankings is to give Google what they want.

Read more: http://www.potpiegirl.com/2011/01/building-links-but-sinking-in-google-why/#ixzz1iXY54BXGComputerz101http://www.blogger.com/profile/12337811482130052212noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8330805349599511980.post-61090152906942894122012-01-04T16:39:00.003-08:002012-01-04T16:40:24.414-08:00Tired of your computer crashing in Tucson???Are you tired of your hard drives failing and it being very expensive to fix why not buy a second hard drive and clone it to a new one that way if something ever happens you're protected and in less than five minutes you can hook up your new hard drive and be ready to go again! necessity in the world we live in today, and if your PC isn’t operating properly – computer repair may be the answer you’ve been looking for. For many, when the computer starts to run slow, the monitor turns blue or black, or you can’t get your computer to turn on – or turn off, they take this as a sign that they may need a new PC. This is not always the correct answer, and in fact there are many people that have given away excellent computers that may have only needed a little TLC.

If you live in Tucson, you will discover that there is a wide range of computer repair facilities that can not only repair your PC, but they can restore it right back to the day you brought it home the very first time. Computer repair in Tucson is available for those that may need special work performed as well. If you are looking for upgrades such as hard drives, Ram, DVD drive replacements, or a new case, all of this is and more will be available at a Tucson computer repair service near you.

Now, PC repair Tucson isn’t only limited to hardware issues. Many people may feel that because their computer screen has turned all blue or black while the unit is on, is all related to hardware problems. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The truth is, 70% of the time when a computer is having an issue such as the deathly ‘Blue or Black’ screen, there is a software issue. These issues will be handled just as well when working with computer repair Tucson. Many times the problems can be traced to software that is either not installed properly, or corrupt files are present.

If you’ve been having problems with your PC overheating, not connecting properly, not loading programs, not starting, starting but not providing a log-in screen, allowing you to log-in but not launching programs, making noises, or not reading your CD’s or DVD’s, all you’ll need to do is contact your local representative that handles Tucson computers, and you will more than likely get the problem solved in no time at all. The biggest issue with computers today is getting to the problem before it gets worse.

Although the above statement is true for almost all items that need repair, it is especially true when it comes to computers. In fact, computer viruses are on the rise and more times than not, computer viruses or Malware of any type will render your PC in-operable. With that being said, it will be very important to have your PC checked in order to make sure you don’t have a potential problem down the road. The longer the PC runs without proper maintenance, the harder the problem becomes when it’s time for repair.
<span style="line-height: 115%;font-family:";font-size:12pt;" >If you’ve been thinking about computer repair and aren’t really sure which way to turn, there will be computer repair in Tucson that can help you with all your needs when it comes to top quality computer repair and service.
If you feel like we can be of assistance with your Tucson Computer Repairs please give us a call at 520-271-9926 ask for Michael.
Thank you for taking the time to read this it's greatly appreciated.
Computerz101http://www.blogger.com/profile/12337811482130052212noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8330805349599511980.post-13028056595591380912011-12-13T03:20:00.000-08:002011-12-13T03:26:15.829-08:00Tucson Internet Marketing | Do I need Search Engine Optimization for my Tucson Business?
* Tucson Internet Marketing

The internet has captured the imagination of many people when it comes to what it is, and what it can provide. Internet marketing is only one aspect of the internet, but it is a very important aspect at that. When people search for items on the internet they are normally looking for information, this information can come in a variety of ways and it can either be free, or purchased. For those that are providing, this is an area where broad and local internet marketing come into play.

As stated before, internet marketing is only one aspect of the internet, and it basically consists of marketing a product or service online. But there is much more to this phenomenon than one may think, and in this article you will discover what they actually are.

* Internet Marketing Consultants

When private individuals and business owners decide to take their ideas for business online, they will be better served if they use the services provided by internet marketing consultants. After servicing many people in Computer Repair, Website Design, and Small Business fields. We found many clients that currently have no backup solutions available either, because they were never educated on the subject or simply the everyday person just got to busy “consumed in work” until there computers or external hard drives crashed. Once this happened and they realized it was serious then they would ask can you recover my data? We would say depending on the condition of the hard drive there is a 50/50 chance of data recovery, at that point you should have seen the look on there faces. They were torn mainly, because there was financial data, personal pictures and much more that was very valuable to them which could never be replaced. Perhaps as well you wish to share files such as songs throughout the computers in your house, apartment or condo.

Don’t let them confuse with all this alphabet soup - b , g , a , 11 megabytes , 54 , 108.

To begin with most any of the systems are beyond overkill. All will go faster than the even high speed broadband internet. Most use the same frequency as the standard cordless phones (2.4 GHz). . Be reassured the phones and the wireless internet in most cases will co- exist and work well with each other.

The most common wireless setups wireless b and g use the frequency most cordless phone use. G wireless internet is sort of a faster b standard. What is important to know is that it is all standardized. B will work with G and G products will work with B. G is said to up to 5 times faster than B that is assuming that you are relatively close. G wireless is very useful primarily if you are sharing large files between computers. For ordinary browsing b wireless is still overkill speed, faster as said than most broadband internet connections. The usual stated range of these wireless products is 300 feet indoors range and 1000 feet outside. The range is basically line of sight. Heavy dense objects – primarily metal, metal doors, metal foil insulation, heavy bricks and pipes and objects such as furnaces, metal filing cabinets will block reception to some degree. As well if the manufacturer makes some ultra high speed claims remember that both the router and wireless network adapters will have to be that brand and that special computer networking hardware feature to work at those high speeds and transmission rates. Remember to that wireless internet transmission speeds fall rapidly with distance.

Wireless internet is basically a radio setup with a transmitter and receivers. The transmitter is a box that plugs into the internet to share your internet connection. This is called a “Router “. . Wireless routers are made by a number of manufactures and the most widely known are the Linksys and D-Link brands. All routers are fairly good now. Tech support may be something to consider for setup ease. Routers are often sold on sale at big box stores as a means of drawing customers who already have at least one computer into their stores. It is reasoned that if a customer wants to buy a router the odds are good that he or she has more than one computer and once in the store will make additional purchases .Perhaps they will be even so fed up with the older computer as the kids have taken use of the newer faster model that the customer will even buy a additional new computer from the store.. The routers that you will find on sale will most likely be the newer g standard routers which will work with your B or G wireless network adapters in your computers.

In order to find all of the article and other information please refer to this page

Wi-fi Wireless Internet Made Simple-- i want to finish reading! It’s reliability and health is utmost important.

Once you have picked out and purchased your motherboard you are ready for installation.

Carefully remove the motherboard from the box, do not remove it out of the ESD (electro static discharge) bag. Do a quick inventory to make sure you have all of your parts. Most likely you should have all of you IDE cables for the hard drive and cdrom, and possibly I/O plate. If you purchased a motherboard that support ATA hard drives you should have those cables.

Once you have verified that you have all the parts, pick up the user manual, and read through it, you don’t have to read it from cover to cover but you want to familiarize yourself with the motherboard, in addition many motherboard manufactures will also include a quick installation guide so take a look at that also.

Now you are ready, your work area should be clean and static free. Put on your anti static wrist band, if you have one. A anti static wrist band is just basically a cloth wrist band that has a snap on stretchable cable that is grounded, the grounded surface area helps keep electrostatic discharge in control.

Remove the motherboard from the box and all of the parts. Then remove the motherboard from ESD bag and lay it inside the empty box. Cut open your ESD bag on each side and turn it inside out so that you can lay your motherboard inside of it. Just laying your new motherboard on top of your ESD bag is not enough protection from electro static discharge.

Prepare your computer chassis. If you have already installed and mounted your power supply, tie the power cords out of your way with some wire ties, or some Velcro. You need a clear path from the opening of your chassis to the bottom of your chassis, where your motherboard will be mounted.

Something’s you need to think about before you drop your new motherboard into your chassis is, cooling. Depending on what type of processor you have purchased, the processor may run hot. So you have to think about good ventilation for your chassis. Heat can destroy your new investment in a matter of hours. If you do not already have at least two exhaust fans on your chassis you may have to think about actually cutting a hole either at the top of your chassis or on the side to mount the exhaust fans. Ok pick your jaw off the ground; it’s not as bad as it sounds. If you have a dremel with a cutting blade it can be very easy. Use an old CD as a template and draw around the CD with a washable marker. Then just follow the line with your dremel. Now you don’t have to do this, you can buy a chassis with plenty of exhaust fans already installed, so that is something to consider when you are in the process of buying all of your parts.

Now let’s get back to installing your new motherboard. Once you have a clear path to the bottom of your computer chassis, make sure that you have your bag of screws handy, and a long neck Philips screw driver. Take a look at the motherboard mounts, they are installed inside your chassis, these are the mounts that you will align with the holes on the motherboard. If you do not have any mounts you will have to installed them your self. The hardware should have come with your chassis if your chassis is new; if not make sure you save your screws, when you remove your old mother board.

Remove the old I/O plate and install the new one, take a look at the manual for reference. Make sure that it is secure. Look at the mounts that are on the bottom of your, chassis you want to make sure that you line up the mounts with the holes that are drilled on your mother board. (Important DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD) Angle the motherboard so that I/O ports will match with the holes on the I/O plate. There is a good chance that you might need to remove the break away pieces of metal the cover some I/O holes on the I/O plate. It is a good idea to check for proper match before installing the mother board.

As you angle the motherboard towards the I/O plates make sure that mounting holes on the motherboard are lining up with the mounts on the chassis. Gently push the motherboard towards the back of the chassis so that the I/O ports are snug against the I/O plate, and that all of the ports are protruding all the way out.

Once you have the motherboard correctly align with the I/O plate you are ready to mount the motherboard to the chassis with the screws provided. Tighten each screw down so that they are snug; do not over tighten the screws.

Use the manual as your guide and connect the power LED, speaker, reset switch ECT, coming off of the chassis to the F_panel (Front Panel) of your motherboard. Since each motherboard will be slightly different make sure to refer to the manual for exact instruction.

Ok well there you have it. You just installed your new motherboard.

To read more computer related articles, get free software and e-books go to

Computerz101- Free Computer Help & More

Thanks for coming.
